Now Hiring a Community Organizer

Access Art is seeking a full time Community Organizer to spear head our Neighbors United Initiative, a community building effort in the Southwest Baltimore City community of Morrell Park. Organizer will help facilitate resident engagement and support residents through a systematic community-wide problem selection process that will result in community members identifying one community issue, developing a plan for implementation, and assisting the community to execute that plan.
Summer Art, Reading & STEM program

Access Art will deliver a 5 week Summer Arts, Reading & S.T.E.M program this summer in Morrell Park for grades K-8* and in Edmonson Village at Wildwood Elementary Middle School for grades 1-8*. (*Grade just completed as of June 2019).

During the 2018 Access Art summer program, instructor McKinley Wallace designed a College and Career readiness mural for the front entrance of Morrell Park Elementary Middle School incorporating student created photographs of themselves as graduates and professionals in the future.

McKinley Wallace and Sara Kaltwasser, MICA Community Arts Collaborative AmeriCorps members, led our Morrell Park Middle School class through an anti-bullying curriculum this past spring. The culmination of this project included the design and rendering of the Youth Unite anti-bullying mural on a wall in Morrell Park Elementary pictured here.
